Don’t you ever wonder how people learn how to make great cocktails at home? Often, home mixologists are passionate professional bartenders who take their work home with them. But some hobbyists have never stepped foot behind a bar in their life and are just excited about being able to shake up something impressive from the comfort of their kitchen.
A few years ago when we set out to learn more about mixology and making cocktails at home, one of the first things we noticed is that around the world there are a lot of others who share this hobby – people making delightful cocktails at home because they love it and it’s fun to share drinks with others. We quickly connected with many of them on Instagram (also lovingly referred to as the #Drinkstagram community), and if you follow us on there, you may have seen us feature people in our #MixologistMonday roundup in our Instagram stories.
We wanted to share more stories of talented people who are shaking up creative cocktails right from their homes. Welcome to “Meet the Mixologist!” This series will highlight some of the talented home mixologists and bartenders around the globe and get to know them a little better – how did they learn mixology, from where do they pull their own inspiration, and what are some recipes they’re really excited about right now?
Every week we will interview a home mixologist that we love so you can get inspired by them too. We hope you will learn something, and if you love their stuff, go ahead and give them a follow on their social page or check out their blog if they have one. We think you’ll agree that these guys are incredible!
Enjoy!
