Fairly similar to the Negroni in how they share most of their ingredients, the Boulevardier is an artful combination of Bourbon whiskey, vermouth, and Campari. The Boulevardier is one of the most notable drinks during Prohibition, as it is considered to have helped the revival of the American cocktail culture. Making its first appearance in Harry’s 1927 cocktail mixology guide Barflies and Cocktails, this fascinating but calming drink has since then managed to make its way to almost every American bar and found a permanent position in the list of classics. The Boulevardier continues to be a favorite of the ours.
