Previously known as ‘de rigueur’ in cocktail recipe books, this drink is considered to be perfectly balanced of sweet and citrus sour– perfect for day drinking. The grapefruit brings its zesty sourness that is balanced by the honey’s sweetness making it an ideal drink for brunches and late lunches. Choose bourbon as the base spirit for a caramel note, or swap it with rye whiskey to tone down its sweetness.

  • 2 oz. Bourbon
  • 1 oz. Grapefruit Juice
  • 1 tsp. Lemon Juice
  • ½ oz. Honey
  • Grapefruit Twist (to garnish)

  2. Using a Hawthorne strainer, strain into a Coupe Glass
