One of our favorite fall traditions is picking up a fresh jug of apple cider from a local farm. Cider is delicious on its own of course, but it’s also a wonderful mixer for fall cocktails. This recipe is a riff on the classic old fashioned but it brings in some fresh fruit flavors for an ideal drink that is sure to make everyone a little happier to see fall.

Preparation Steps:

  1. Place the Sugar Cube into mixing glass. Douse the Sugar Cube with Bitters.
  2. Muddle contents with muddler. 
  3. Add Whiskey and Apple Cider. 
  4. Add ice, then stir rapidly with a mixing spoon to chill and until sugar is dissolved.
  5. Prepare an Old Fashioned Rocks Glass and place a large ice cube inside.
  6. Using strainer, pour contents of mixing glass into the tumbler. 
  7. Garnish with a Luxardo Cherry or Apple Slice.
