Everyone loves a traditional margarita, but sometimes you need to spice it up a little! The jalapeño in this cocktail takes your margarita to the next level, while the sweet pineapple balances and refreshes. Kick things up a further by garnishing with a chili salt rim and you’ll have a heated up cocktail that’s not for the faint-hearted.

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Jalapeño Infused Tequila
  • 3/4 oz. Triple Sec 
  • 1 1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice 
  • 1/4 oz. Lime Juice 
  • 1/2 oz. Agave Nectar
  • Chili Salt (mix equal parts salt and chili powder), for garnish

Preparation Steps:

  1. 24 hours before serving, infuse Tequila with Jalapenos (we used three sliced jalapenos with seeds for 750ml of tequila) and strain. 
  2. Prepare an Old Fashioned Rocks Glass by rimming the top with a Lime Wedge, then rimming with Chili Salt.
  3. Place infused Tequila, Triple Sec, Lime Juice, Pineapple Juice, and Agave into shaker and fill with ice.
  4. Shake until nice and cold. 
  5. Using a Hawthorne strainer, strain into the rocks glass over fresh ice. 
  6. Garnish with Jalapeno Wheel or Lime Wedge.
