Allspice dram (also known as pimento dram) made with allspice berries and cinnamon, is the featured ingredient in the classic Lion’s Tail, which first appeared in the 1937 Café Royal Cocktail Book. Similar to a whiskey sour but with all of the things you love about fall spices, the Lion’s Tail is sweet but not too sweet with a hint of spice – sure to become one of your new favorite whiskey cocktails.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Bourbon
- ½ oz. Allspice Dram
- ½ Lime Juice
- ½ oz. Simple Syrup
- Star Anise (to garnish)

Preparation Steps:
- Combine ingredients in a shaker filled with ice and shake.
- Using a Hawthorne strainer, strain into a Nick & Nora Glass or Coupe Glass.
- Garnish with star anise.
