The Moscow Mule is a timeless combination of vodka and ginger beer, it’s typically served in copper mugs to maintain the cool temperature of the drink as well as pay tribute to the history of this cocktail. It is believed the drink was created around 1941 by Martin and Jack Morgan, the owners of a Los Angeles British pub, Cock ‘n’ Bull. However, other stories tell us that the head bartender, Wes Price, claims to have come up with the ingredients used in making the perfect Moscow Mule, according to an article in the Wall Street Journal. The drink has inspired several spin-off Mules with the use of other liquors or the swapping of ginger beer with ginger syrup.
